CARIBBEAN AND ISLANDS
Travel to any of the hundreds of tropical isles some call paradise. As befits heaven on earth, there is much to enjoy, see, and do. Beaches, boats, banks, and bikinis are Caribbean menu essentials. But the number one playground for the Americas also comprises movie-set beauty, coconut-tree-clad mountains, verdant valleys of sugar cane and bananas, and seashore galore. Caribbean cities glow with glorious architecture in communities established long before the automobile.
Europe consists of timeless landscapes, quiet country roads, poppy fields, and stone farmhouses encircled by elegant cypresses. The highlight of any vacation is likely to be the magnificent “Rose-red City” of Petra, carved directly into the rocks of southern Jordan, a true wonder of the world. Add the immense ruins of Palmyra, the fantastic Roman sites of Baalbek and Jerash, and the Crusader sea-castle at Sidon and you’ll have all the ingredients for an unforgettable Middle Eastern experience.
