AFRICA

Africa's biodiversity, which ranges from the Sahara desert to tropical jungle, from snow-capped volcanic Mount Kilimanjaro to the beaches of East and West Africa, may be its greatest asset.

There is the excitement of stalking big game in the African bush, the thrill of whitewater rafting through the gorges below Victoria Falls, and the awe of seeing the Egyptian pyramids at sunrise. Ecotourism provides leisure complexes that take advantage of game parks, golf courses, beaches and beautiful scenery. Adrenalin junkies can raft the rapids on some of the world's biggest rivers, plunge from the highest bungee jump, or climb a snow-capped volcanic peak on the equator.

For the less adventurous, there are beaches along most of Africa's coastline, fabulous African golf courses, and places to sip a cocktail while watching the red African sun set over a waterhole as elephants come down to drink. Then there are those familiar African tourist attractions such as Egypt's Pyramids in the North, Cape Town's Table Mountain in the South, the mysterious markets of Timbuktu and Marrakesh in the West, and the coral reefs of Zanzibar and Nosey Be in the East.

BOTSWANA

Botswana, situated in Southern Africa, has some of Africa's last great wildernesses including the famous Okavango Swamps and the Kalahari desert and is the largest exporter of gemstone diamonds in the world. It is this beautiful country that has endless horizons to encounter. The unforgettable wilderness, the splendid waterways of the Okavango Delta, the Kalahari Sand Dunes and the abundance of wild-wildlife are just a few features of what makes Botswana the ultimate destination.

CAPE TOWN AND SOUTH AFRICA

A journey through South Africa will take your breath away and create memories that will last forever. Cape Town is southern Africa's most beautiful, most romantic and most-visited city and Table Mountain is the city's solid core which divides the city into distinct zones. Johannesburg's contrasts are some of the most extreme in the world and yet the city as a whole continues to suck in people and skills from all over the country, making it the financial, commercial and cultural powerhouse of South Africa. EGYPT

Egypt is probably the world's oldest civilization having emerged from the Nile Valley around 3,100 years ago as well as one of the oldest vacation spots. The country is much more than Pyramids and monuments. It is also Red Sea scuba diving, hot night spots, luxury hotels and five star restaurants. It is romantic cruises down the Nile on festive river boats, a night at the grand opera and a cultural experience like none you have ever experienced. Egypt is a land bustling with life, sound, visual beauty and excitement.

MAURITIUS

Mauritius is the most accessible island in the Indian Ocean, boasting much tropical paradise. Enjoy a dish of curried chickpeas or a nice Yorkshire pudding on the terrace of a French café, sipping imported wine or a thick malty ale while listening to Créole music and the conversation of locals in any number of lingoes. Its range of visitors facilities ranges from pamper-happy beach resorts and organised excursions to locals who'll put visitors up in their homes and rent their cars for daytrips. KENYA

With long, tropical beaches and dramatic wildlife parks, Kenya has an exotic tourist image. Out in the wild, there is an abundance of authentic scenic glamour - savannah dotted with Maasai and their herds, high Kikuyu moorlands, dense forests bursting with bird song and insect noise, and stony, shimmering desert. On the Indian Ocean coast, the palm-shaded strands of beach and an almost continuous, reef-protected lagoon are even better than the pictures depict - no photo can do justice.

MADAGASCAR

Madagascar, the fourth-largest island in the world, lies in the Indian Ocean off Mozambique's coast and includes several much smaller islands. A central chain of high mountains, the Hauts Plateaux, occupies more than half the main island and is responsible for the marked ethnic, climatic, and scenic differences between the east and west coasts. The narrow strip of eastern lowlands is largely covered by dense rainforests, whereas the broader western landscape is mostly savannah. The east coast receives the monsoon. The southern tip of the island is semi-desert, with great forests of cactus-like plants. The capital, Antananarivo, is high up in the Hauts Plateaux near the island's center. Much of Madagascar's flora and fauna is unique to the island.

MORROCO

Morocco is the ideal African starting point for the traveler. An easy hop from Europe, it is hectic but friendly and stimulating as well. Open-air markets throughout the country are piled high with rugs, woodwork, jewelry and leather - said to be the softest in the world. Morocco's image is slowly shifting. The old romantic notions of a conservative nation now clangs with a contemporary reality. The medieval labyrinthine medinas of Marrakesh are what Morocco is all about for many, but don't be surprised to hear the shrill ring of a mobile phone or see a sign pointing down some darkened alley to the nearest internet cafe.

NAMIBIA

Namibia is a peaceful land of old traditions, ancient tribes and modern infrastructure and has always been a country of superlatives. Dragon's Breath is the largest subterranean lake in the world, Hoba meteorite is the biggest ever found, Gibeon meteorite shower is the largest ever discovered, Namib Desert is the oldest desert and is also the only desert in the world with elephant, lion, giraffe and rhino. Red sand dunes at Sossusvlei are regarded as the highest in the world. Namib desert is also home to one of the oldest living fossil plants, the Welwitschia mirabilis. Namibia has the largest free-roaming cheetah population in the world. The country is also the youngest democracy in the world - with protection of the environment in its constitution. One attraction of Namibia is famous Etosha National park with its abundant wildlife, enormous and magnificent Fish River Canyon.

SEYCHELLES

Seychelles is an island nation in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Africa. The principal island of Mahe has a population of about 50,000. The two other islands with significant permanent populations are Praslin and La Digue. Among the 115 islands of the Seychelles you will find the luxuriant, tropical paradise that appears in countless advertisements and glossy travel brochures. But however seductive the images, they simply can’t compete with the real-life dazzling beaches and crystal-clear waters. There are more shades of blue and green in the Seychelles than it is possible to imagine. The rhythms, colors and flavors of Africa form a relaxed tropical backdrop.

TANZANIA

Tanzania not only has the highest mountain in Africa, (Kilimanjaro is 19,340 feet) but the longest and deepest lake, Tanganyika, which is over 4,000 feet. Remote beaches far north and south of Dar are beautiful. Zanzibar has undergone a total facelift within the past decade, with many new hotels, renovated historical structures, and much improved infrastructure. Mafia and Pemba island have nice resort lodges and facilities for scuba divers. The best buys include ebony and soapstone carvings, gemstones, colorful fabrics, pipes, sisal baskets and the famous and colorful cotton sarongs (khangas and kikois).

Disney World is the largest attraction in Orlando where thousands of visitors come and spend time in an atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else. That is not all there is to do in Orlando. Hawaii consists of eight major islands plus 124 minor islands, reefs and shoals, strung like a necklace across the Pacific for over 1,500 miles. The eight major islands include Oahu, Maui, Hawaii (known as Big Island), Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe (uninhabited) and Niihau (privately owned). Each of the major islands has an identity all its own. With their collective mass of 4.1 million acres, these islands form the fourth smallest state in the United States. The Hawaiian Islands have only two seasons: "summer" between May and October and "winter" between October and April.

USA - LAS VEGAS

Las Vegas is one of the nation's hot spots. There are nightly shows, great dining, and world famous live entertainment to thrill and dazzle every visitor walking down the strip. Lengthier trips to LA may include the old-fashioned charm of Old Pasadena, Downtown, site of much city heritage and setting for what skyscrapers the area does have, the South Bay, the place to find the region’s second biggest city of Long Beach, and Malibu, where visitors can try to get a glimpse of movie stars and assorted celebrities.

ARGENTINA - BARILOCHE

San Carlos de Bariloche is situated on the southern shore of lake Nahuel Huapi, within the Nahuel Huapi National Park. It is the second most populated city of Río Negro province and is one of the most important tourist centers of Argentina. ARGENTINA - MENDOZA

Mendoza is located on the eastern side of the Andes in Argentina. It is a popular stopover point for travelers on their way to ski the Andes, climb Aconcagua or enjoy adventure travel in the region. Mendoza is also known for its Malbec wine production.

ARGENTINA - USHUAIA

The world's southernmost city, Ushuaia overlooks Beagle Channel, named after the ship that took Charles Darwin to the bottom of the world. Founded just over one hundred years ago, this rustic town is situated amidst incredible snowcapped mountains, dramatic waterfalls, massive glaciers, and a forest known for its red foliage. Tierra del Fuego, the "Land of Fire," twelve miles to the west of Ushuaia, is known for its glacial landscape and its national park, which is a bird-watcher's paradise.

BRAZIL - BONITO

Bonito is a city in Brazil located in Mato Grosso do Sul. Bonito is known as the heart of eco-tourism for Brazil. Popular for abundant waterfalls, clear blue rivers, lush vegetation and diverse animals, the region carefully controls the numbers of tourists allowed, to preserve the natural beauty of the area. Some of Bonito’s rivers boast the clearest and most transparent waters in the world, due to the high quantity of limestone in the ground, naturally filtering the impurities from the water. Most tours are based around exploring the unique ecology and natural environment found in Bonito.

BRAZIL - IGUASSU FALLS

The Iguassu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River. The falls are shared by the Iguazú National Park (Argentina) and Iguaçu National Park (Brazil). The two parks were designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1984 and 1987, respectively. Together, they make up the largest waterfall system in the world and divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. On the Brazilian side, a walkway along the canyon has an extension to the lower base of Devil's Throat. Helicopter rides offering incredible aerial views of the falls are available.

BRAZIL - CHAPADA DIAMANTINA NATIONAL PARK

Chapada Diamantina National Park is Brazil’s 'Lost World' with landscapes of oddly shaped rock formations, quartzite caves with crystal clear lakes, underground rivers, national monuments, and wildlife. Visitors favor the park’s swimming holes, its waterfalls, hiking and biking trails, and of course the scenery that comes from visiting the vast lush plateau of green. Visitors can also dive the crystal clear lake locally called Gruta da Pratinha, canoe through the Pratinha River underground passage, and witness the landscape’s transformation from dry land to rainforest. A must visit is the Blue-Cave, a small pool hidden under a deep rock ledge where it gives an electric blue tone and only such a place exists in Brazil!

BRAZIL - FERNANDO DE NORONHA

Archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, consists of 21 islands and is 340 miles from the coast of Pernambuco. The total area of the archipelago is 26 sq km, 75% of which belongs to the National Ecological Park, and only the main island of Fernando de Noronha is inhabited. The main island aproximately 17 sq kn with 1800 inhabitants and 20 other smaller islands of volcanic origin are emerging. The discovery of the island in 1503 is attributed to Americo Vespucci. Since then, it has been occupied by the French, the Dutch and the Portuguese.

BRAZIL - LENCOIS MARANHENSES NATIONAL PARK

Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is located in Maranhão state, in northeastern Brazil. Protected on June 2, 1981, the 383,000-acre (155,000 ha) park includes 70 km (43 mi) of coastline, and an interior composed of rolling sand dunes. During the rainy season, the valleys among the dunes fill with freshwater lagoons, prevented from draining due to the impermeable rock beneath. The park is home to a range of species, including four listed as endangered, and has become a popular destination for ecotourists.

BRAZIL - PANTANAL

The Pantanal is a massive wetland area largely located in Brazil, extending into Paraguay and Bolivia. It serves as home to a vast array of exotic wildlife, including one of the largest jaguar populations on earth. In the wet season, the region is a largely submerged floodplain that is best explored on canoe; and in the dry season, getting around by land (on foot, vehicle, and even horseback) is easier.

BRAZIL - PARATY

The entire city of Paraty is considered a national monument as it was deemed by UNESCO to be one of the world’s most illustrious examples of Portuguese colonial architecture. A virtual museum within a tropical paradise, it is located southeast of Rio de Janeiro. The streets are lined with beautifully whitewashed buildings and many have colorfully painted trim. Motorized vehicles are forbidden on the majority of the narrow, cobblestone streets, so you can wander freely, absorbed in the tranquility and meticulously preserved architecture. Highlights of this quaint city include numerous churches, in particular the Portuguese Baroque-style Church of Santa Rita, built around 1720. Once all of the city’s beauty is explored, take some time out for a leisurely stroll along the shore or dine at any of the waterfront restaurants serving locally caught fish. There are also several shops in the historic area catering to local artisans and merchants.

BRAZIL - RIO DE JANEIRO

Brazilians say that God made the rest of the world in six days, and devoted the seventh to Rio. The jagged Sugarloaf rises from dark blue Guanabara Bay, with legendary beaches like Copacabana and Ipanema in the foreground, forested mountains behind. This great city has an enticing atmosphere of samba and fun, and its locals are as joyous as they are beautiful.

BRAZIL - TRANCOSO

Trancoso is a district in the municipality of Porto Seguro in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Shaped as a rectangle, the village retains the original style of its housing architecture. It is famous for its beaches, such as Praia dos Nativos, Praia dos Coqueiros and Praia do Espelho. The place is famous for its white, semi-deserted beaches. Most of them are protected by reefs and form natural swimming pools at low tide.

CHILE - ATACAMA

The Atacama Desert is nestled along the coast of Chile, South America - right next to the Pacific Ocean - the biggest body of water in the world. Much of the desert extends up into the Andes mountains and is very high in elevation. Unlike more familiar deserts, like the Sahara Desert in Africa and the Mojave in California, the Atacama is actually a pretty cold place, with average daily temperatures ranging between 0°C and 25°C. Even though Atacama gets almost no rainfall, there is water in this arid place.

CHILE - PATAGONIA

Patagonia is a barren wonderland where the glaciers float across the emerald lakes, wild fjords winds through forests and the Andes’ peaks disappear into cotton candy clouds. It’s a traveler’s paradise for their greatest adventure yet however, it is highly encouraged to be selective of which area to explore as not all terrain and landscapes are for the wild and free. Three regions reign the Chilean Patagonia. In the north, lies the magnificent Lake District extending from Puerto Montt to Aisén. CHILE - SANTIAGO

COSTA RICA

GALAPAGOS ISLANDS

PERU
